The MTH RK Streamlined Passenger car 4 car sets all have a vista dome car. I have several NYC sets and since NYC didn't run domes I would like to change the roof from vista dome to coach roof. Does any one know if I can just swap roofs or if interiors need to be swapped to accommodate a change from vista dome to coach?

I have a lot of them to, im thinking they can be snapped of after removing two screws from the roof post down to the floor.
A while back I used two ATSF vista domes as donors for some Alaska full dome bodies I won in an auction but I used everything except the body shell. I remember I had to make some mods but don't remember what they were and don't remember if I can just leave out the upper seating area. The cars in question are not currently close at hand and I'm trying to determine if I can just buy the roof or if I need a donor car for the replacement.
As far as just swapping the roof it should work. You just twist the body and it pops off. If your not concerned with seating in the domes you can probably leave as is but the lights are overhead so it may be bright. I've taken alot of these appart adding people. It feels like your going to break it but it always works.
Better yet, sell the dome car and buy another coach.
