Yes, I have done it. The concept is the same. You are talking about the UCS operating track section, correct?
I had issues with cars not properly operating on it until someone on the forum suggested sanding the black off the tops of the rails, now it works great!

I've used it in the past on my old layout with no issues....Greg
Hmmm. I had to cut the ballasting off of both sides (used a bandsaw) of my Realtrax to get it to work with the older milk platform I have.
Did I miss something about getting the newer MTH track to work with the older platforms.
I put the side with the 4 screw terminals into the platform slot so that they were hidden. Works great, no one seems to notice the missing ballast.

I had the same type of problems - requiring me to cut off portions of the plastic ballast roadbed, when I had Fastrack, many times.
Eventually, I just accepted the fact that almost all classic and traditional accessories (i.e., thosemade long ago), as well as newer ones based on only tooling, etc. were not compatible and I'd have to bandsaw and shim tha fastrack/accersories so it would fit. Thank God for bandsaws!!!
