I got this engine to replace a Southern version that I mistakenly sold off a few years ago. It has a Pittman motor. It has some issues. Poor smoke, poor signal, etc. Even though clickity clack is turned off it reverts back on when the signal is lost or poor. The sound then returns on its own.
I checked the stats with DCS and it has very high mileage and hours. Maybe it ran at shows or was really tested a lot? I cleaned the wheels and lubricated everything as it really sparked when run, especially with the smoke on. It took out the TVS on channel #1 of the TIU, so it needed work.
Someday, I may convert it to 2 rail 
or just leave it on display. More fun to come.
