Must be happening, because a charge therefor just appeared on my credit card account.

Yep, just noticed this morning that I got charged for two kits.
Just arrived. Found it sitting on porch in 10 degree weather. Now I have to figure what to do with it, since all my diesels are already DCS and I now prefer steam.
Are they for any upgrade?
For diesels, where all components (except maybe rear light & coupler) are in the same shell. Same use as the PS2 kits that are no longer made. Generally, locos to be upgraded must have can motors with flywheel.
Are the Directions (PS-3) On MTH's web site? I couldn't find them.. Much difference than PS-2?
The instructions in my box are labeled "beta edition."
Got mine today too. I saw the FedEx truck back up, and then he zoomed away. They just set them in front of the garage.
At least he put it between two of the doors and not in front of them!
Gregg, the PS/3 diesel kits are different, they're true PS/3 upgrades. The upgrade manual (beta edition) is in the box, and it documents the PS/3 kit. Here's the PS/3 Diesel Electric Upgrade Kit page. Under the Support tab you can download the manual.
Greg, are you going to part with them? since all your diesels are already DCS and you now prefer steam.
Does anyone know if MTHRRC members get a discount these kits?
Yes we do. Price may be increasing.
They do, but the price went up Jan 1st. I had ordered before that, and I still got the $150 price for the diesel and steam kits, but I think it's going to be in the $170-180 range for the club and around $200 for retail.
GRJ, price is shown as $199 on web site.
Mike, from your text, I guess you're talking to me, but I'm not Greg. Given the great increase in price, I'm going to keep it on the shelf along with the steam kit I got last fall. Never know when I might get a good buy on a steam or diesel or electric.
Best way to get a kit is to join MTHRRC. The savings on the kit, plus the car you get, justifies the membership fee.
Hey Thanks Guns & RJR . I couldn't save it to my computer using IE but Google chrome let me. After a quick glance it looks very similar but a little more work ?
I actually just have the basic membership in MTHRRC. I can't see having them pick a car for me that I'll likely not want, I really joined to get a discount on the upgrade kits. I bought six kits in 2015, and I saved $30/ea over the retail price, not bad for a $25 investment. Even through distribution I would end up paying almost the retail, they don't discount those kits much at all for distributors.
RJR, Thanks for the information. I think that will be my next move!
