I recently picked up a used 20-20219-1 UP SD70ACe. There is a strange window on the rear of the engine that none of my other SD70's has. Is something wrong with this engine, or is it supposed to be there?

I have the same Union Pacific SD70ACe that you have but with a different cab number (actually I have both the powered and dummy). I looked at both of my units and the upper opening is completely covered by the yellow painted screen that only partially covers the opening on your unit. Looks like the metal screen has come un-glued in your unit and just hanging there. You might try taking the shell off of the unit and re-attached the screen so it covers the entire opening just like the lower opening is completely covered.
Thank you Dudley. That's what I was thinking may have happened. The only thing that was throwing me off was the clear piece of plastic in the hole. It may have been added by the previous owner. I guess I'll have to remove the shell and take a look inside.
