Let's see, first it was Mike yesterday, and now Jim. I had stored the image of these beautiful Yellow Warbonnets deeply in the back of the closet in my mind. I was happy. At least I knew that Scott Mann was going to produce the Yellow Warbonnets in the next run of F7s, so I had rationalized that it is OK to wait patiently. Now the door to that closet is wide open again and all I am going to see in my dreams are those Yellow Warbonnets. It just isn't fair. You have forced me to write to Scott and plead for him to start production immediately. I will name names and put the full blame on Mike and Jim. They made me do it.
Jim, thanks for the video. It really does a super job of displaying them on a beautiful layout with the GGD Sante Fe cars behind them. Just a super video.
We just returned from a Church dinner, and watching this video made my night. Many thanks.
Wow, what a beautiful video!!

Laidoff,
Did you fix the pilots on those MTH F3's, or did they come as 2-rail units that you converted to 3-rail?
They are truly beautiful (as are the GGD cars).

Oooooo that was nice.

Thanks guys. Mark I did fix the pilot on the lead unit only. The passenger cars still have the claw, so I left the claw on the rear A unit to couple to the cars. The cars look good enough to me being close coupled already, it's not worth the hassle to convert them.
I am going to re-route the stupid tether on those units through the doors and get rid of that ugly connection under the couplers on the ABA set.
I believe that MTH did Yellow Warbonnets in both their Premier & Rail King lines. LOS's set I believe to be the Premiers.
For those who want a set of Yellow Warbonnets, you can still order a set from 3rd Rail that will be very accurate scale F7's with all powered units. The last I heard from Scott Mann was they are planned for next Spring. I have an ABBA combo on order. They should be spectacular.
Not trying to start something; I am not knowledgeable about Santa Fe. Is this scheme prototypical?
Yes they are Forrest. Search the forum for an earlier thread about them - lots of great info an d photos!
