I had a brain storm while converting two of my PS GP7 engines to straight AC. What if I found two GP's that contain PS2 guts and simply move the body over to those?
Then further thinking came up with a question... Should I stay only with GP7 candidates that contain ps2 or can I risk looking at GP20's, 7's and etc because MTH builds the frame the same maybe?
What say you?

The holes are not the same for all the geeps, you would have to compare to know for sure, early PS1 geep will not mount properly on a later geep frames. I do know that to be true.
I have an MTH GP 20 and numerous MTH geep 7-9's but have not compared the mounting holes.

To be safe, you'd need to obtain the actual chassis you intend to use for a test fit; sometimes it's not only the mounting holes, but boards that have been relocated, or sit higher, or the lighting is spring loaded, etc, and you can't snug the shell down properly.
