Lost my ditch lights "always on" FEC SD70M-2 below. They default to flashing only when in fwd MU or engine only. Hoping a feature reset might restore order but i don't want to have to rebuild the MU(5 powered units). Old photo below.

An engine Feature Reset will not delete an engine from a DCS lashup.
This and a whole lot more is all in “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition!" This book is available from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at OGR’s web store! |

Thanks Barry...Clem, did you ever square away your MU's? I did see your use of "eng all" vs a MU build. My MU's in 4.20 world have been quite reliable. I have 4 mu's from 2 to 6 engine units all ps2/3. I am nervous about 5.0
TMCC engines, assign the engine to TR 0 (Train zero).

The "eng all" works better for me. I have four remotes so its no problem to use one for my MU's. they never fail to start, or have to readjust sound and lights or smoke. Plus its easier to take an engine out or add more. Only thing I lose is the remote uncouple. But I have Kadee's. Clem
Hmm just wondering if there might be a fix under the Control menu for the lash-up (MU)??
Menu/Control/ Ditch lights..?

Tried it..nope. My other six axle engines all have full function ditch lights.
If that FEC SD70 is a PS3 loco it's working correctly...That is ditch lights on only when moving.
Using DCS 5.0 gives you the FSV soft key and that is Saving Lashup State...just a thought.

Casey...lo and behold came back to layout a day later, fired up the MU and the FEC sd70m ditch lights stay on while sitting and flash in fwd like it should. Go figure huh? This is a later ps3genII as i call it... engine starts up when throttle rolled vs older ps3's. who knows
Edit: they now stay on while fwd,off sitting and flash w/horn..probably like it should.
Willy Gee,
Bill this why I have ultimate faith in your electrical abilities, all you have to do is wave your magic hands over the engines, and wait a short time, and bingo the problem is fixed!

Thanks Dave...i have 15 ps2 and ps3 diesel engines mostly in 4 and 5 MU configuration and 2 more (CSX dash-8's) on the way and they all play well together. Along with the wireless sound system i have created some awesome background sounds of idling engines or 3mph wheel noise through a program called Audacity. I love my trains
