Subject says it.

I came across a thread where I wanted to select several previous posts to quote, not all were on the same page.

The 1st page properly updated the "Post Reply with Quote(x)" button (x is the number of quotes selected for multi-quote), but I could not figure out a way to make the software remember the previous posts I had selected once I went to the second page.

I tried the "Continue Reading" button as well as the "2" link to go to the second page of the thread.  Neither seemed to retain my original selection of posts to quote.

Thanks.

Not directly, but there is a way.

Do one or more multi-quotes on the first page, and then for the last one use the quote feature.  This will open up the reply box.

Copy the entire contents of the reply box to the clipboard, and then cancel the reply.

Select the second page of the thread and do the same process up to the last quote that opens the reply box.

Place the cursor at the top of the reply box and paste the previous quotes into the reply.

If you're going to do a 3rd page with quote(s), select all in the reply box and copy to the clipboard again.  This gets the whole first two pages of quotes.

You can continue this for as long as the thread is, but I suspect if you get carried away you might run into message length issues.

In a word...no.

I have asked the Hoopla folks about this and they confirmed that multi-quote does not work across multiple pages.

Thanks for the confirmation that I'm not missing something simple.  Maybe someday Hoop.la will address it.  If not, no big deal.

It's obviously sound in method, but more work than it's worth (at least for me).

I could also copy all the text I wanted from each post and add the quote html codes manually, but that's also not really worth it.

It's certainly not a big deal, just a curiosity that hit me this morning.
