My son downloaded the LionChief+ APP on his Apple iPhone and was able to run my S scale FlyerChief/Bluetooth engine successfully. While he had control of the engine the factory supplied remote was inoperative. (I believe that's what's supposed to happen).

So my question is if there were say 4 FlyerChief engines on the layout and all 4 were listed as available to operate with his phone, could another iPhone user using the APP control any of the engines?

My concern is our train club has three loops for our S gauge (non-FlyerChief) trains and currently we use TMCC to control all the loops and engines. If we put 3 FlyerChief engines on the layout each can be controlled by the dedicated remote for each engine.

But what happens if someone turns on the APP with their iPhone? Will that person be the only one able to control all 3 engines? Is it possible for more than one person to control multiple engines with the APP?

Any advice is appreciated.

Bluetooth is a one to one control. While an operator has control of an engine, no other operator can control it. Once an operator releases control another operator can select that engine.

An operator cannot control 3 engines at once, only the engine they are currently connected and controlling. The other 2 engines will be accessible via their respective remotes

Does that help?
