Eliot and Ginny.....Congrats on the wonderful article in run 273!!  And thanks for the invitation to your open house.....  Arkansas is a world away and with me traveling to York just a few weeks before your event, I will have to get back to my office to meet the deadlines coming for run 275.  I am sure you all will have a great time so please post pictures and videos!!

Very nice tribute.  I saw the article, but did not read it yet, however the photos look fantastic.  That is great you are having an open house.  If I didn't live 400 miles away, I would try to attend.

Great article and layout...only 4 hours from North Central Maryland...hmm maybe Broadway Show on way back and a few days in Manhattan to sweeten the pot for my wife Linda?  I'm thinkin'! Ron B.

Today my US Mail Lady, brought me Run 273 • October / November 2014.

The first article after seeing the cover promo, was "Tour Eliot Scher's Munoz Lines" on page 43.

This is still the best way to view a layout is hard copy in a national train magazine. Like, "O Gauge Railroading."

I would  like to say more, but I can't, it would be like telling a person about the ending of a major motion picture.

I would like to encourage, all model train guys and gals to read this article, I would say twice.

Great article and photos Eliot! Living in Wisconsin and being confined to a wheelchair makes attending your Open house a dream only. I do wish you a success and great time with the open house. Being a ex U.S Navy veteran, it is always good to see the military and especially your father-in-law being dedicated through your layout!

Thanks for the kind words. The Forumites have helped to make our experience with the Munoz Lines a joy. As I have said so many times, the railroad is as much the OGR Forum as it is ours. There is very little that I could have done on my own to match the expert advice we have gotten here.

In addition, dedicating the railroad to my father-in-law is something I could not have imagined before I met Ginny. Being so immersed in American history has given me insight about the contributions of hundreds of thousands of Veteran's who have kept us free. Reading abut the battle of Cassino, where Fil Munoz was badly wounded, opened my eyes even further. Fil was the first American officer to enter the town. A truly brutal affair.
