On a related note, the LCCA York boxcar was gone very shortly after the show opened, with only 75 cars being available.

These were actually offered by Lionel, just through the LCCA at the LCCA booth.   It is the same thing Lionel did a couple of years ago when offering 50 boxcars .... they were also snapped up in 10 minutes on Thursday at noon.  Some of the first in line were dealers already in the building.   I am sad that Lionel did this again despite being told that this is an unwise idea.  It excludes just about anyone from getting one of these cars, especially those who can't make it to York on Thursday.   Lionel should either make enough beforehand (as MTH has done for 20+ years) or take orders for these cars for delivery at a later date (like Lionel already does with its "National Train Day boxcar.")

In Ryan Kunkle's TCA Museum presentation starting at 15:10 Ryan states that December 7, 2019 will be National Lionel Train Day and that the special premium Lionel boxcars for this event have already arrived at Lionel and gone out to the dealers.  So no ordering the special National Lionel Train Day boxcar for delivery at a later date at least for 2019.

My point is that there are certainly more than 75 of those being made, right?  Some dealers such as Ro have them listed for order on their websites: LINK TO RO
