One of my 'little' brothers (I have 5 younger brothers, but they are all taller and bigger then I am.) has a real talent for modeling. He's doing some amazing work in N gauge with T-Trak modules. But he likes models in all scales. Due to a fluke the rolling stock I've been collecting for a work/breakdown train all happened to be NS, black in color. So I naturally want the rest of the train to match as I continue to collect items. But it seems no one has made a black NS caboose except Lionel in an older RTR set, and then it was more toy like then I prefer. On Thanksgiving my brother surprised me with an early Christmas gift.
A few weeks ago I guess he found a killer deal on a new unopened K-Line Reading smoking caboose and bought it. One like this:
He took it completely apart and repainted and decaled it. Now my work train when it's completed will have a proper tail.
