Hey, Guys

I just wanted to share my recent projects that I Have been working on for a couple of weeks. These two GG1s were almost basket cases and they shine in glory again. I know they are not perfect but I was able to salvage the original paint that was covered in years of grime. I have to say these beauties run better than any other post war engine I own.  I always wanted a GG1 as a child but could not afford one but know I have 2 refurbished engines for my Christmas Layout that I will be starting soon. I also added some pictures of my 225E in gold.imageimageimageimage

Thanks for for looking at my attempt at restoration.

Those 2332 single motor GG1s run very smooth and quiet.  Back in 1981 I had Elliot Welz repaint my MPC GG1 into the brunswick green, five stripe livery.  First may I say that he did a first class job, right down to the tiny "WATER" and "FUEL" lettering.  I still have that loco.  If memory serves me, I paid $50.00 to have it done.
