A while back I bought a WbB GP9 in the black IC scheme....it was to repaint but could not bring myself to repaint it....so it stayed as bought. But then I thought it would be cool to have the orange and white 'IC' rail logo GP9.....so I bought another GP9 from a OGR Forum sponsor. I put it through the same method of re-painting I have shown here a number of times....so I'll just show the end results today.

I used Dupli-color primer and Tamiya pure white and orange paints. The decals are all laser printed including the white logos and number boards showing that any one can make their own decals and you don'r need an ALPS.

A little detail painting and a dull coat next week after the decals have set well.

I really like these WbB GP9's....they are rugged but enough detail that at speed they look good. I have also gotten into the colorful locos of this era. I have one more in progress.....I'll show later...then maybe I'll be finished with my Geep project!!

It did slip by me!!! I like having the different eras as contrast......like the Rock Island I did 3 eras.....I had to do two different eras......owning a Big Bad Orange (real color name) 1973 Javelin....I had to make a IC GP9!!!

Here is my Javelin sitting on the C&O Greenbrier Div grade just south of Marlinton.
