Well you know that bridge is a piece of 1/2" plywood with pieces of 1/4" Black foamboard for the sides. I'm glad you like my little layout.
Nice trestle and most noticeable, nice Facia trim Larry. You have progressed very well. I have not been as progressive working on my 9x16.
Dewey - the trestle was built in 2006 for my old layout. It is a scale 1/48 life sized copy from CPR Blueprints. It is Maple hardwood cut to scale size lumber. The main supports are 1/4" square as the railroad used 12" square timbers.
The edging is not facia -- it is the Mianne wood beams that are assembled with a screwdriver. I put the framework together by myself in 8 hours. Table is topped with 1/2" plywood and 1" pink foam insulation. Thanks for the nice comments
Nice job Larry!
Larry,
Very nice work, the bridge is looking real good, please post more pictures as you continue to work on the layout.
Larry,
Very nice layout, what is the size of your room? Currently, I have a room that is 9X11 and I'm really trying to figure out what I can do in that small amount of space but it will have to do for now. Is your track and switches Atlas O 21st Century? Thanks for sharing, looks great.
J Motts -- My room is 8'10" wide by 12 ft long with a 2 x 3 ft entry by the door.
The track is all K-line Snap track and Shadow Rail with8 K-line switches 0-31, 0-42, 0-72 and 4 ROSS TINPLATE # 4 switches for the track cro;ss-overs
Thks for your kind comments
Like your layout, looks like fun.
