Still in an early stage of construction here is my new hospital that is being custom made to fit my layout. The builder, who I will introduce after completion of the project, will affix his recently deceased dad's name to the front of the building. We worked this out as part of the original building agreement. I told him I prefer he name it so that I could remember him by it. I am very happy with the memorial aspect of the naming. It will be "so and so" (no disrespect intended but I don't know his dad's name yet) General Hospital. It will light by sections, have an emergency room entrance, and a helipad at the top of the tower complete with blinking red LED's. And, yes, I do have a helicopter to put on it. I will be looking for a 1:48 "life flight" type chopper to replace my USCG version which will be assigned "other duties". The building IS to 1:48 scale with a footprint that has been measured to fit on the northwestern corner of my layout. It will be the largest structure on the layout being four five or six stories taller than my MTH Susquehanna Hat Factory. He still has to add actual windows, the name, emergency room signs, and other detail. As you can see, I am very excited about it.
