well I did it again, purchased a locomotive that was not cared for. I took it apart and after a alcohol bath I removed the factor paint.  I will be painting this in Milwaukee Road Paint.  One of the things that I needed to modify was the nose, Lionel had a wheel for the manual brake, I needed the ratchet,  Looking at a K-line GP38-2 shell I had, it had the correct nose I was looking for, and it was a match.  (on a side note a SD38-2 would not be to hard with both of these shell, a future project maybe)

Next thing is I need to order a few parts, all of the TMCC boards I have already includding the smoke unit.

I enjoy others projects also, thats why I am sharing.  I picked up a couple of screws on the way home so I could mount the trucks.  The trucks will need to be removed again when the gear clusters arive from Lionel.  at least for now I have a rolling chassis.  Side frames and fuel tank have also been painted black,  Mother or main board installed along with smoke unit.  Frame mounted bell will go away, and a bell will be installed onto the shell behind the cab on the conductors side.
