I like the berry color!

I'm with Carey - first choice is the berry, second is black. I never did like those white "snow" roofs.

I sing with the chorus, I don't like the white snow, it's hokey, even for a fantasy set.

If you paint the window areas berry like the movie coaches, maybe the roof should be black?  If solid blue like your electric, the berry roof color definitely.  It will be great with whatever you choose Scott. Please post update photos and maybe a video once finished. Looks great so far!

+1 for not doing the snow version.  (Even though that's the set I have for o Gauge).

You are far more into tinplate than I am Scott, but to me part of the attraction of the tinplate trains is the crisp smooth colors.  If you did them totally white, I'm not sure how that might affect the overall look of the set.

Of course if that aspect isn't really important to you, it's your set, but you asked for opinions....

I have shown my Lionel #610 and #612 custom Polar Express Cars before, but here they are again... I used Dupli-color Engine GM Blue and Krylon Burgundy with Krylon black for the roof. I also made it the Ryder Express (my Grandson's name) and added pictures in the windows of all my Grandson's relatives.
