MY SISTER SAW HER FIRST SANTA FE IN PERSON. READ THE STORY BELOW. THIS WAS VERY SPECIAL ALSO BECAUSE SHE FILMED IT.
I'm so so sorry for the qaulity of the video & photos but this was a total surprise and I had NO IDEA I was even going to see this train.
This was probably the luckiest catch I have gotten this year. But in a short story, went up with family to Mentor. Well while up in Mentor since I haven't seen trains in a little while, we would stop at least 30 minutes at Heisely Road. Well as we were pulling onto the old Heisely Road, my sister grabs my video camera and gets this video. Talk about pure dumb luck of catching the day before Halloween of BNSF Pumpkin colors leading a CSX eastbound loaded crude oil train, but was a totally shocker to see ex. Santa Fe Warbonnet Dash 9 #696. I could not believe it!!!!
After that train I saw 3 other CSX trains which I have video on tripod of. But overall, this was so far the luckiest catch to get to arrive at tracks and see a Santa Fe warbonnet when I didn't see any train heads up.
So my sister is very very proud to see this and she took the video.
The photos of the Santa Fe, I video photo captured off the video camera. Plus that NS freight 316 was after 4PM which was 1 hour earlier before the SF
