And if you're too young to have been a student/aficionado of John Allen and his Gorre & Daphetid, you wouldn't understand. Gordon Varney did!! ...and the rest of us old pharts still kicking!!
But these dinomotives can be obstinate! Emma, #13, did NOT like to be...how should we say??..."serviced"!!...

Looks great! You nailed the details!
What's great is that with all the realism, you still had fun with the scene and put a dinosaur in it! My son wanted palm trees on our mountain-type layout. So we put some on. Have fun with it. Love your scene!
If you're laid-back enough to have 3 rails, you ought to be laid-back enough to have a dinosaur on your layout somewhere.

But does it belong to the union
These are serious models and whimsy has no place here!!!
Just kidding of course! I think all the examples shared look great.

I have a T-Rex that I was thinking about doing a small scene with, now I am inspired to go full on Jurassic Park, what the heck I had zombies, Minions, a Tardis and a Lost In Space B9 robot on my last layout. I've found if you don't have the skills or talent to go full on realistic scenery whimsy is a great substitute and the visitors love it!
