I think this is one of the best lines I have seen in many years. I have to give Mike R, Mike P and Howard H kudos on this one! The quality and value have gone up and I am glad to see an expansion of the "Made in USA" trains. The Baby Madison's are great and I also like the two pack idea with the passenger cars as now you can pick and choose your consist. The line up of train sets is truly impressive and the expansion of Fastrack is great. Big Boy orders are fantastic and we have seen a new resurge in big steam sales. Great Job Lionel!

I would agree with you and judging from the many threads and posts on this Forum, most of the other members also agree as well.
Howard and Mike are to be congratulated on a fine effort.

Couldn't agree more. I emailed Mike and sent him my regards. I'm excited to get a paper copy in my hands.
I agree for the most part with Charlie. I did note however there is a lack of moderately priced ($400 price range) of steam locomotives with TMCC and/or legacy control. The LionChief Plus locomotives don't count.
The made in USA items are good too. I am excited about the new heavy mikado's.
Some of the made in use also said imported parts.

And I wonder if they will be assembled in the USA by Chinese workers?
It's a great catalog if you have more than $5,000 a year to spend on trains. Lots of neat stuff. Lionel is definitely looking at the 'mature' well heeled audience here. While the prices are high, the items have all the bells and whistles. The high end stuff is where the profit is too. I can't wait until York so I can at least look at some of those engines.
I have to agree with Wurlitzer. Too many big steam locos. Would sure like some moderately priced smaller steam, like Moguls or 0-4-0's with TMCC. You know, stuff for a smaller type layout. I will tell you though, I'm still ordering at least 2 Lionchief steamers and possibly 3 if the detail and operation are up to par. Overall, I'm pretty excited with the line-up. One problem I am encountering....too many alien/area 51 cars, with a loco that is struggling to pull them all.

LOL.....
Just like Cuban cigars made by Cubans in Florida
Seriously though, it is really difficult nowadays to make anything without a part of it that is made somewhere in Asia...
Best catalogue since 2004 volume 2, glad to see the return of whistle steam, scale berks, and smooth side passenger cars.
A surprise to boot was the newly tooled heavy mikes, the Wabash passenger cars, vision line SCALE sound cars, and the 5 pack Santa Fe map PS-1 cars.
I believe they should just make it all regardless of orders!

Nah. Illegal immigrants.

You're gonna confuse some folks here.

No doubt about it....a fantastic number of offerings. Reminds me of the "good ole' days!"
