Just opened the box for the new N/S Theater car. Camera works great.  However, I lifted the car off the track and found a spring laying between the rails. It had to have dropped out of the bottom of car. Lionel parts lists a spring for the earlier run of these cars that appears to look like the one that fell out. It's laying on top of the truck in the pic below.

.  It is not readily apparent to what the spring attaches to, or whether I'm missing parts to use to attach the spring.  If someone has a 21" inch theater car, please compare the coupler in the pic to yours and let me know if something is wrong with mine.  Thanks.

Pretty good sized spring Ed.  I wonder if it would be easier to hook to the axel.. I don't think it will effect running conditions...  Good Luck.. you sure have been having problems lately... Where is the quality control... OH yea, I know it's Covid.. That's all I hear regarding every situation that is incorrect or problematic....👺

Can’t disagree. Seems often something is hosed up. Fortunately, this was an easy fix. Now I know how those kinematic couplers work. As my platoon leader said: “There’s always a bright side 😁
