N&W Class M photos

Looks good Christopher, I always like to look at N&W steam

 

I keep wanting to get a close look at the class M2 (#1134) we have here in Portsmouth, but STILL can't figure out where to park   I actually drove by it last Friday, but was downtown on an errand and didn't have time to stop.

 

Not sure what the differences between the 2 classes are, but the one downtown looks very similar to the "M".

Looks great, I wish there was more small steamers available in 2R. Can't wait for a video of this loco in action.

Beautiful.  The M's certainly are not what most think of when they think of N&W steam but they sure earned their keep.  Nice work.

There may be a Sunset Models announcement coming late this year that should please you, especially if you like the B&O.

Absolutely beautiful pictures. If I didn't know better, I'd swear that these were pictures of the real deal....

Bob, For starters, the M2 is a much bigger engine. And some even had a big BL feedwater heater.

Guys, thanks for the comments. Yes, this little engine adds nice variety to the layout.

At one time they were a mainstay on the Shenandoah Div. An engineer told me that coming south out of Shenandoah he spent so much time shoveling coal that he didn't have time to shake grates until after they topped the mountain at Lofton (56 miles away mostly uphill).

I will guess a B&O E27.  its about time.
