Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers Spring Open House March 15-17th

 Do you like large operating train layouts, lots of trains , plenty of train enthusiasts and a great venue? Well METCA folks , TCA'ers and everyone else of course , The Nassau Lionel Operating engineers invites you to their annual Spring Open House this coming weekend, March 15-17 . Friday 8-10 pm, Saturday & Sunday !2-4 pm. NLOE promises the VIP treatment for all fellow trainees. They are located at 2953 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown NY 11756. It is convenient to the Wantagh parkway, Take the route 24 exit east toward levittown, and at the 4th traffic light make left turn onto division street . Make the first right behind the shopping center fitness center. Plenty of Parking, NLOE entrance is next to Cue Nines rear entrance in that first row of buildings. check their site at www.NLOE.org.

I couldn't attend, but my wife and son were visiting the in-laws on Long Island and they stopped by (together with her parents) on Saturday.  They very much appreciated the hospitality shown by the club and told me the layout was fantastic.  And my 4 & 1/2 year old really appreciated the platforms so he could take it all in.  BTW, I was very proud when my wife relayed that he asked, "why isn't there a GG-1?"  And of course,  the club members, being the hospitable folks that they were, rolled out a GG-1, I was told.  

 

Many thanks for the nice show.  I will have to try to be up there the next time you do one.
