The Christmas museum in Lancaster was closed last year. This was a place where you could step back in time and see what it was like to walk into your local five and dime to purchase a Marx train set and everything you needed to build a Christmas village. While you were there you could buy lights, ornaments and all the trimming for the tree that grew out of that magical village that many of us remember as children. There were also exhibits of decorated trees with electric trains and toys of the period.
Well it looks as though the complete contents of the museum have been purchased and will be set up in a historic building in Elizabethtown Pennsylvania, about 35 minutes from York. Set to open in 2021, those of you that didn't get a chance to visit when in Lancaster will get another shot.
