This is going to be a National event. Lionel will be rolling out details about the day. So by all means please support Trainland as well as all the others (we are also promoting the day too) planning events for that day in your area. Details will be coming soon from Lionel on their web site.

I am sure Alan you will be contacted by Lionel shortly and maybe OGR can get involved too!

Received a volume 2 catalog fr Charles Ro yesterday and on the back of their price list was a flyer for Dec 5/national train day.  It said "order first annual lionel train day boxcar"...."new built to order made in the usa boxcar"

Looks like this will be a recurring national event.  Wonder if annual boxcar will be christmas themed since it will be 3 weeks to Christmas

Well if it says "first annual," we can assume it will be a recurring event, right?  They ask you to pre-order but don't show you what it looks like?  Is it $80 + shipping, Tom E?

Today Is National Lionel Train Day!  Make sure you stop by if your in the area or if your out of state try to find a local hobby shop to show your support!

BTW I am creating a separate thread for a live O gauge forum feed and twitter feed for everyone to ask Mike Reagan (Director of Project Management and Customer Service) At Lionel any questions you may have.  I know a lot of people can't come to New York so this is a great opportunity to access one of Lionel's most talented representatives.  Use #StumpReagan if your asking on twitter!
