Like the title says, I need photos of this stoker.  I'm detailing/modifying the cab interior of a UP FEF coal burner and would appreciate any leads, photos, or links of this stoker.

I have no idea what a BK Stoker looks like.  Therefore, when I did a google search, I'm not sure what I'm looking at.  I want to learn and make an accurate model of what I'm working on.

Thanks in advance.

First, it depends on which UP steam locomotive you are trying to model. Then, find one of the Bill Kratville  books specifically covering that class of locomotive, i.e. the Challengers, the Bog Boy, or the Mighty 800 as some examples. The books should cover the stoker installation in some detail.  Lastly, you could look in a Locomotive Cyclopedia under stokers, and get additional information.

HW, I'll be ordering another book you recommended.  I have the Kratville Challenger and BB book you recommended to me some time ago.  UPHS has the Mighty 800 book in stock, I'll order it.  Actually, I've been looking at it for a while anyhow.

I'm modeling FEF-1 #809, September 1937.  A Weaver FEF-3 is the starting point-a lot of scratch building, detail parts and other major changes to make it an FEF-1.  I've already finished the tender.

Thanks for the recommendation.

A very interesting project. Remember that the FEF-3 model you are starting with, has the Worthington model S feed water system (which the UP up-graded only a few FEF-2 and FEF-3 locomotives with in the 1950s), were as #809 would still have its original Sellers Exhaust Steam Injector system (that is that large 'sewer pipe' arrangement on the Fireman's side).
