For some reason won't correctly download DCS 6.10.exc. When downloaded from MTH the file size shown is 288kb and it won't unzip with WinZip. Can someone either tell me what I'm doing wrong or please post the necessary unzipped files here which are needed to update a TIU. Thanks.

I’m pretty sure the downloadable file DCS6_10.EXE is self extracting. Just double-click on it, no need for Winzip, and it will automatically extract the files.
Here are the files unzipped.

Gentlemen,
Some time I need both of mine updated, and I definitely do not want to due it myself. Right now my Legacy is down, after I have it repaired, I then need my DCS TIU's and HHRC updated to the latest levels.

Shhhh. Don't tell Barry but I also do DCS Upgrades for the same price of Legacy upgrades ...a handshake and a smile!
MartyE,
Man I will be contacting you for the DCS upgrade after the Legacy is repaired, I miss it already and it's not even disconnected from the layouts. What a bummer.
Thanks for posting this Marty!

Sorry for my ignorance...I've only been an MTH DCS user for about a year and I'd like to learn more about the whys and hows of performing DCS software upgrades. Could someone give me a quick rundown or perhaps point me in the right direction on where to obtain this information. The manual that came with my TIU and remote control set didn't really cover this topic very well and I wasn't very good at deciphering the website they refer to in the manual (www.protosound2.com). The hobby is just starting to blossom for me and I could use some guidance.
As a recent DCS user, the best advice to you is to purchase Barry’s DCS Companion book. There is also a WiFi Companion book as well. All the info you will need regarding DCS is in Barry’s books.
I am sure someone will chime in with a link to them, or you can search.
Welcome Fishman,
I would recommend getting a copy of Barry Broskowitz DCS Companion series of books. They extensively cover all aspects about operating (and upgrading) DCS, the hardware needed, troubleshooting, and many other topics. You may not need to read them cover to cover but the information in them is well organized, and complete. His books can be purchased in paper form or digitally on the MTH website.

No problem. Lionel will most likely update your Legacy but we'll get together and get your DCS up to date.
Here is a very good tutorial for you DIY GUYZ, on DCS upgrades.
The DCS Companion 3rd Edition book and the Wi-Fi Companion book are also available in print/book form from Amazon.
The Wi-Fi Addendum is available in print form directly from the MTH site.
