I'm sure this is an old question. Does anyone have a reputable link where I can update the driver? My computer utilizes Windows 7. I have had my tiu and remote upgraded through a hobby shop in another city via the USPS. However, I would like to upgrade another tiu and remote to have it as a back-up and possibly clone my existing remote. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Post the actual model number from the device please.
The cable is a Gigaware model number 26-949.
According to the comments under it on the RS website, plug it in and let Windows 7 find a driver. Did you try that?
I tried and tried but no luck. I kept thinking that the definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result". I finally decided to bite the bullet and I just ordered a cable adapter through Amazon that is compatable with Windows 7. The $13 (including delivery) is well worth the cost if it will enable me to keep my sanity.
Thanks for your reply. I will get back on this thread and let you know the result after I receive the cable adapter and "try again".
I bought a couple of $12 ones from NewEgg that I use on my desktop and my laptop, they're the Vantec USB to Serial Adapter - Model CB-USB20SR. They work perfectly with Windows 7 32 or 64 bit systems.
I received the new adapter today. I was finally able to back up my tiu and remote, the device I purchased was just under $13(including shipping). The link is http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0085...760_3p_M3T1_ST1_dp_1
Price was right, and since it works, it's a double bonus!
