I have searched all my reference books including the Authorized Guide To Lionel's Promotional Outfits and have been unable to find this set (probably my fault). As it stands now the set contains a 233 Scout Loco with 233W Tender, 6162 NYC Blue Gondola, 6476 Black LV Hopper and 6017 Caboose. The Box is marked 577T and 1646C (picture included). As near as I can figure it is a 1961 Utility Freight set missing a barrel ramp car but the set box seems wrong.
Anyway any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Gary, that's what I thought too, the set usually came in a display style box and my set was missing the 6343 barrel ramp car and had a black LV Hopper instead of Red,so I was a bit confused.
I am sure you know that some folks make a big deal about finding sets packed in cartons when they typically come in display boxes.
Oh yes that combined with one of the more desirable Scout Locos make it one of the better Scout sets.
