A friend of mine uncovered these trains that were stored for many years in his home. We need your help to identify them. 20190329_144644Both locomotives are windup toys and they appear to be European. Their gauge is large and perhaps No. 1 Gauge???

This observation car has been repainted, and it is Syandard Gauge.

This locomotive is a Lionel Standard Gauge piece, and it also has been repainted.

My friend is considering selling these pieces, so please estimate their value.

Tom, Daniel,

Tank you for responding to my post. Using the info you posted, I searched for the Bing and Marklin catalogs of the windup locomotives. I am unable to find the Bing catalog for the CLR 23 locomotive, or a picture of another one like it. It appears that the entry door to the locomotive is missing.

As for the Marklin windup steam engine, I found a close match. However, it appears the Marklin locomotive I posted is an earlier vintage. Note the difference in the valve gear and the steam cylinder proximity to the smoke-box front. Perhaps someone can lead me to a Marklin catalog that ha a better match. 20190329_144644H2651-L131459545

The Lionel locomotive is a 1912 piece, but the original color may not match.

The coach remains a mystery.

I think you can find your Marklin loco here,

https://www.historytoy.com/mar...engine-black-gauge-1

And the CLR boxcab seems also to be from MARKLIN, there is many small varaitions of this engine and CLR was marked for the British market. I made a mistake identifying it as a Bing model, sorry.

And the coach is a LIONEL 190 frome the same period of your 1912 loco with a homemade roof.

Very best,  Daniel
