I have three PW LIONEL street lamps that need repair.
Note: Thanks to Eddie's brief remark, I did as he said and inserted a ground wire under the lamp socket which is secured by the tension of the bulb being screwed into the lamp post. The red wires remain secure. That's two down and one to go.
A third street lamp separated at its base, although it retained its ground wire and works fine. Again, any successful repair techniques?
Thanks for all replies. I'd really like to get these working for the Christmas display--nothing better than a darkened room lit only by running trains and layout lighting.
