Have not seen this discused in this forum.  I want to use FIXED 1 to power double main line and FIXED 2 to power a yard and turntable storage tracks.  I am using a MTH Z1000 to power the double main and a MTH Z500 to power the yard and turntable storage tracks. I am using ATLAS O 3-rail track. I have FIXED OUTPUT 1 going to a MTH 12 terminal block and then to the double main tracks.  FIXED OUTPUT 2 going to a MTH 12 terminal block and then to an ATLAS connector so that I can power off the turntable tracks and the yard tracks when not in use.  I am using a an insulator track connecter on the center rail to seperate the yard tracks from the double main but for some reason I am not getting a DCS signal to the yard tracks form FIXED OUTPUT 2.  I know that FIXED OUTPUT 2 works as I tested it by hooking it up to the terminal block that goes out to the double main tracks.  Am I getting DCS signal interference somehow?  This has been very frustrating tring to get this to work.  I purchased the O Gauge Railroading DCS DVD and it really does not talk about how to set up power districts. Thanks for any help you can give me. Rio Grande Forever.

If you put a DCS loco in the yard and hit the signal strength button on the remote, anything happen?

Do you have wires from both FIXED black outputs connected to the outside rail?  Do you have continuity on the outside rails throughout the layout?  Sometimes with switches in certain configurations, there is not continuity.
