Need help with Lionel 2466WX tender | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hello All,

My 2466WX tender has not been whistling so I decided to take it apart and find out why. When I took the brush plate off I found 2 worn brushes (approx .25 inch long), 1 normal looking spring, and 1 broken spring. None of the repair info I have (Greenberg, Train Tender parts list, even the Olsen info I had saved) give me the part numbers for the tender springs and brushes. Does anyone know where to get info on tender part numbers, or, at least, the brushes and springs I need?

I did search the OGR forum and couldn't find any information.

I believe you have the WS-125 whistle. It uses the WS-147 brush spring and 1661E-29 brush. I would contact Jeff Kane, The Train Tender for parts.
