To all, I'm trying to find some replacement bolts for one of my MTH steamers. More specifically, I'm looking for part IA-0000065 (Bolt, Nickel, M2.5x13.5mm Hex Head). The MTH website shows they don't have have it in stock. Where would a good alternative be to look?
Ps.. These are the bolts that hold the drive rods into the wheels on Bigboys, Challengers and other steamers.

I have had luck with a local ace hardware for some tiny screws/bolts. Not all local stores have great selection, but if you can find one, you might be in luck. Take one off the other side, so they can size it and get the correct threads. Color might be an issue.
Try Fastenal. A few years ago I needed some very small brass screws and they had 'em.
Bummer. Spent 2 hours looking at all sites on the web and no luck.
Try McMaster-Carr Supply in Chicago. Have a large selection of metrics. Joe
That's a fairly unique bolt as it's not only hex head, but I believe a square profile of the head. I needed one like that for a Lionel steamer, and I made it by grinding down the head on a pan head bolt. It wasn't perfect, but unless you looked closely at it, you'd never know.
Here's one that's close at McMaster-Carr. They don't have 13.5mm, but you can knock off the extra 1/2mm pretty easily. You can also probably take some thickness off the head to better match the application.

IA-0000065 is only used on the wheel that has the eccentric crankpin. I'll mail you one, drop a line.
