I just purchased MTH 50-1036 DCS (no remote) new 9/20/2020 Version L. The TIU purple LED never lights up on WIU after connection.. TIU red light blinks only once upon power up and remains constant. I downloaded MTH 5.0 downloader and then version 6.0 successfully through USB to TIU. The WIU (MTH wifi) never shows up on my iphone 11 so I can't connect. MTH app downloaded on phone and says cant find system as app never connects to MTH wifi. My Connections: Z1000 brick to (fixed 1 IN) using MTH barrel jack as only power to TIU, (no aux power used on TIU). Fixed 1 OUT wired to fast track. What am I missing????? I got trains that are waiting to roll and no way to get there. HELP!

Thanks for the response. I viewed the tutorial video months before I received my system. I tried to use the system for the first time today. I’m going to go through the DCS WIFI manual again.
My issue seems to be centered around the WIU (MTH Network) not (my Home Network) not showing up on my phone as an available network. Tomorrow I will click over and try and connect to my home network. I noted that my WIU says it’s 1.0. I will use the software to update to the lateness 1.1 version as well as continue to power the TIU through the aux input while retaining power to the track through the fixed 1 input using the z1000 brick. I want to believe it’s operator’s error since it’s a new system.
I think youll find out connection to your own home network will work!

you must use the newest version in the WIFI. 1.0 had bugs.
You should also use DCS 6.1 not 6.0 in the DCS TIU!

💡👍
FYI I just purchased that system also. I didn't need to download or update anything. Worked fine out of the box.

Just an update on the DCS 50-1036. I had to send it back to MTH after having extensive conversations with a service rep. When I called after they had recieved it (1 week later) he informed me it could be up to 4-5 weeks as they are understaffed regarding technicians taking first come first served units being repaired. As a 66 year old 'big kid', I feel like I took my new bike outside to ride it, went back in to get my helmet and came out and it was gone. (LOL).
Pretty disappointed right now. As a followup, The brand new DCS 50-1036 DCS system has a non-working WIC. I sent it in a month ago to MTH and after numerous followup phone calls, I was told there are only 2 technicians working on returns and their goal is to hopefully get to it by Christmas. Yikes!
Mike’s pending retirement is certainly affecting service, but to purchase a new system and not being able to run trains other than conventional, isn’t a great start for a guy totally new to the hobby.

Lionel is not without similar issues and they don't have the excuse of going out of business. Unfortunately, you must lower your expectations if you are buying new items in this market.

Brendan,
Thanks for the reality “gut check”.
Customer Service has reached a new low in a lot purchases besides trains too.
I guess that’s our new ‘normal’.
Hey since I have to run my trains conventional waiting on my DCS system, is it possible to run two of the same engines (connected) pulling freight on the same track? Will both be operable and make use of the total ‘pull power’?
