I am working on a 314 aw, never encountered one before. It had many wires missing or unconnected from the whistle in the tender. Now I have gotten the whistle fixed but have yet to get the e unit to work.
The Korando wiring diagram book and the Gilbert Aurotech books, wiring diagrams are completely different with regards to the e unit. If anyone can shed some light on this problem , it would be greatly appreciated.

The 314aw is unique in its wiring the front truck is grounded directly to the frame with a jumper. I am not sure how this corresponds with the e unit.
You are correct that the 314AW has a different tender wiring. How does this diagram differ from your as built? The tender drawbar is is insulated from the locomotive with bushings. Interesting wiring for Flyer.
