After many years of wanting one, I have finally acquired a Korber Electrical power plant for my layout.  It has four very large windows in front (actually side of building) and I would like for it to look like there is a interior once lighting is installed.  Not sure what the inside should look like so if anyone has any ideas for a picture that might be place on the back wall that would make it look somewhat realistic, I would appreciate the help.

Thanks,

Don

Thank to all for the ideas!

FARMER BILL:   If I could figure out how to the man run in the cage in the building, that would be really cool.

BEACHHEAD 2:  That would certainly get a lot of laughs.

WIGVULLE RR:   I really like what you have done with the nice looking interior and the entire scene.  If it is OK with you, I might use the first photograph on the back wall of the building>

STEPHEN K:   I would love to see photos from the inside of the plant with steam generators on the turbine floor. Thank you for the offer and I would look forward to seeing the pictures.

JOE FAULTY:  Great looking job on that MTH municipal building!  Love it!

JHZ563:   I searched on line but all the photos of equipment that might look appropriate were taken at angles the equipment , not straight on. I did not think they would look right.

There are so many people her with such great ideas!  I really appreciate the responses.

Thanks,

Don

Much like what Stephen K offered, this building, Waterside Power Plant, was kept the same. The control area and the generator area were kept in pristine condition. It is part of an area that can be rented for events. A giant mezzanine overlooks the generator room. Nice industrial green giants.

A few shots from the four sides would let you build a box inside. This building is overwhelming in size and the scale of the equipment is overwhelming.

This is next to the Philadelphia Union stadium. (soccer team)

There were a lot of small power plants like that built to run trolley and interurban lines. Some were built next to  coal while others had a RR siding for coal delivery. The boiler would look like a big block made out of brick with two fire doors or more. The steam would be piped to turbines which   were coupled to the generators. A control panel would be there with gauges and controls. Not too complicatedI could check my trolley books for photos. These plants often supplied power to the town, also.
