Hello all

I'm going to be graduating high school this year and wanted to make a "celebration" locomotive of sorts. I wanted to take an engine, Paint it my schools colors and number it "2015". I need some help deciding what locomotive to use and how exactly to paint it. I was considering using one of the lionel Berkshire jr's from the New York Yankees set.

thanks

Bellcaptain,

First decide it you will be operating this loco or do you want to showcase it. If I were you I would pick my most favorite engine and start with that. I'm not the best at colors so I will leave it to others to decide. I'm sure it would help them if you could show a picture of how your school colors are displayed. Good luck.

The Lionel Alaska SD70MAC is a blue and yellow paint scheme that would nicely display your school colors. All you'd need to do is replace the "ALASKA" and road numbers. CSX also has blue and yellow colors, but IMO, the Alaska paint schemes do a better job of balancing the blue and yellow.
