New 3rd rail F7s coming.

If I remember correctly, Sunset/3rd Rail diesel locomotive models ALL come with "fixed pilots". However, Scott will provide, at a nominal charge, the 2-Rail SCALE pilot with the smaller coupler opening for conversion to Kadee couplers. I really don't think you will have any "ride height" issues once you change out the fixed 3-Rail pilot to the fixed 2-Rail pilot.

Why not make it easy on yourself and just go 2 rail. You will likely end up there sooner or later.

I always get the 2R pilots from Scott for my 3R models. When I swapped my FP7 pilots, the only difference was the gap in the pilot. I always remind Scott as well, for 2R pilots and body mounted steps for us 3R scale guys. They are must have items.

F7 Arrival Update:

Container with the F7s and 2nd Run RDCs Docks on October 25th.

Arrives at our warehouse approximately November 4th. 

Sorting Then Shipping on or after November 9th - 20th

Please don't call to ask when your order will ship. We do them from largest to smallest order to ensure engine number sequence is maximized.

The UPS tags are generated long before the models actually ship. So watch the tracking information for a UPS scan, and a correction of the estimated arrival date. That is the most accurate way to find out when your model will arrive.
