Interesting to note that the Walters' Tab on Tab assembly was designed so that the models could be dismantled and returned to the box for storage. Not bad modeling without paint.  IMO a step up with paint and weathering added they were very nice. They also included very good waterslide decals.








From the Atlas Website. (Noted name change)  The fence and interior lighting for the office was part of the Walthers' kit. You had to supply your own lumber.

I'm glad the buildings are back as the Walthers buildings were actually sometimes more expensive than the Atlas re-release MSRP.

 

I was able to snag the Lumber Yard kit on eBay. I believe it's complete. The plan was to get another one and combine them into a larger lumber yard. The H.O. and N scale versions had an enclosed lumber shed you could park a center-beam flat inside doe unloading. The initial plan was to make a sleight-of-hand loads-in/empties out industry. That has been placed on hold.
