Well, I see the "kids" at Crowdstack have now added highlighted blue and red banners to "Supporting Member" and "Digital Subscriber". Wonder why?

No, not the kids at Crowdstack, I did it. It’s part of something new we are about to start here. Just wanted to make it a bit more obvious who our digital subscribers are.
The approach makes sense considering subscribers keep this forum free to use for all. Why not highlight them?
That was easy. I just added the supporting member option also. For $12.00 a year? That's a bargain. I pay more towards my local public radio station, my club memberships, and I won't get into my professional licensing fees.

Let me qualify this statement. IF we have enough subscribers and sponsors the forum can remain free. The forum is huge and requires a large financial and time commitment from OGR. Your support is greatly appreciated and needed!
Thanks!
Thanks, Jonathan!
The announcement about the new Supporting Memberships is HERE.
Rich, it was Alan who invited me (...with NO high pressure talk either!) to purchase a digital subscription to OGR. I can honestly say that it's the best investment I've made in 2020! The additional material not found in the print edition more than makes up for the Nice Price, not to mention access to all issues of OGR, all the way back to No. 1 I might add!
Perhaps this isn't the proper place to put in a plug for OGR but I'm going to take the liberty to ask all members who are registered on the OGR Forum to consider taking out a print or DS to OGR. Remember, your support will insure that OGR remains the high quality publication it has become known to be and will continue to be the leader in reporting the latest in O gauge news, as well as, presenting to it's readers, the very best layouts for all to enjoy for many years to come.
Note: When I first discovered the OGR Forum, I too rode the OGR train like a hobo, riding the rails on a "Free Pass". When I e-mailed Alan about the forum requirements he promply and personally (!!!) replied and politely asked me if I'd consider subscribing to OGR. Let it be known that I have not one regret and have found in the short time I've been a part of the OGR family, just what a great bunch of guys and gals there are, who are always ready to help and assist fellow members to the best of their ability.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU!!!... to each and everyone of you, from the great OGR staff, down to the newest member/subscriber.
GODSPEED

I am in. The best $12 I spent this year. $1 a month is a bargain.

OK, I'm on board and am now a bonified OGR Supporter. Along with my Digital Subscription I'm riding First Class on the Flying Express!*

Any thoughts to highlighting the "Forum Sponsor" tag for our vendors like the Digital Subscriber and Supporting Member tags? Seems we should make them stand out as well since they are important to the forum's success!

Probably has nothing to do with the decision for the specific highlights, but I like the red, white and blue colors
That's a good idea. Marty. I'll have to contact Crowdstack Tech Support to learn the CSS code to do that for that badge.
