I found out by looking on Train Orders - http://www.trainorders.com/dis...n/read.php?2,4203778 of a new CSX Diesel. Well, not really new, just a rebuild. It's a GE 8-40CWM. I guess they use DC power and not AC. But here's a quote from train orders.
"They are still DC locomotives. No AC conversion here. They just have a new control system (upgrade to CCA from IFC), rebuilt engine, new cab interior, fresh paint, body work as needed, and a few other refurbs. The hardware mounted above the radiators are shutters which are used to manage coolant temperature. Attached is a picture of the first of ten when it was completed.
Stay tuned for the blue Tier 4 demo units that CSX will purchase from GE. Think it will be 8 locos."

For me, the only difference when I first seen the photo was the Fresh Paint and maybe the number board placement, but the number boards have never changed on the C40-8W's originally Ex. Conrail's. Also different top Radiator Vents. But I thought I would share another new rebuilt diesel unit.
