I received a new LC+ Mikado, four Lionel 1122 switches, and a Type S transformer this week. Running only in REMOTE mode, should track and accessory power all come from posts A and C ? Output 18.46 vac. One switch only works one way. All voltages show up when they are told to. What is up with that? I have another, smaller, transformer. Should I power the track with one and the switches with the other?

A & C will work fine, a very good choice. The switch issues are unrelated to your power choice.
If you have 1122E switches, you will need 2 plastic fiber insulating pins in the correct locations for each switch to keep them from being actuated constantly(the one-year-only 1122 switch requires no fiber pins):
The left hand switch uses the same rails(the short, inside ones) in mirror orientation.
Also, using these in REMOTE mode, be sure not to let any part of the train park on those control rails(with the pins) of the switch while the transformer is plugged in as this will overheat the switch motors(solenoids).

Also if using a Type S transformer add an external circuit breaker or fuse between the transformer and track.
Great diagram Bob, thanks. I'm convinced the problem is a defective switch.
LOU1985, I was going to bring that up. I intend to use a circuit breaker and an amp meter. I like meters. Do you have any suggestions as to where to get two circuit breakers?
