Not sure if it's been posted here or not and I missed it, but yesterday I was on ERR's web site to get the links to the sound samples and noticed that they now have a steam turbine sound set for sale!!!  I can now upgrade my beautiful MTH PRR S-2 (30-1149-1, the real nice Protosound semi scale one, not the tiny Bantam one.) to TMCC command.  Here is a video of the locomotive, and here is the ERR sound set.  Not quite the same, but still better then a turbine chuffing.

Now if they could do one for gas engines like Doodlebugs, and one for little electric trolleys, I'd be set.

I can never tell which ERR boards you need for each upgrade.

I have a Williams switcher I would like to add TMCC control and sound to.

I also have a PS1 Dead diesel I would like to add TMCC and sound to.

They seem to classify their boards by big motor, small motor etc.  How do I know what size motor I have?

I have emailed them in the past but they were not that helpful.

You would want the ERR Cruise Commander and the ERR RailSounds Commander for those.  The RailSounds Commander would be picked from the Purchase link on the ERR site, you can listen to sound clips to decide on what you want.  Forget about the motor size, the full Cruise Commander handles any O-gauge one or two motored engine.  For small stuff, you can use the ERR Cruise Commander Lite, but for full size stuff that will pull a load, I use the full Cruise Commander.
