After looking at this web site (briefly) I'm not sure if these engines are actually still available new, or maybe the company just provides replacement parts for the existing Alco and FM engines. They show a variety of other engines, including mostly MAN and Colt-Pielstick engines. It appears that the old FM and Alco engines have generally lasted longer in marine and stationary applications than in locomotives.

Not only no, but HE!! NO!

I may get one of the FMs for my new submarine that Lima's building to the AMC's blueprints.  Every doorway will have a screen . . .  (The AMC said you can't be too careful about these things.  They applied the same design principles they used for the 2-6-6-6.  I hope it will have some positive buoyancy.)

They going to use GE governors on them, or will the buyer have the option of using the Woodward governor?

Virginian had FMs with Woodward governors, and N&W had some Alcos with Woodwards.
