Also, NJ TRANSIT’s Positive Train Control (PTC) system finally has been certified by the Federal Railroad Administration.

They met the December 31, 2020 deadline for implementation ... with a handful of days to spare. lol

I imagine most New Jersey Transit fans probably follow all of the railroads that did, or do, serve the Great State of New Jersey.  If there are any O Gauge Railroading members who are Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines fans and/or modelers, consider a visit to the PRSL Historical Society web site.

Membership in the Society is FREE...but Note: The site appears not to be a current one!  I plan to contract them before attempting to join using my email address.  Anyway, you can still take a ride on the PRSL when you go to www.prslhs.com

I believe you'll be glad you did!

Joe - great website! Thanks.

What amazes me most is that 4109 is still operating in revenue service with over 50 years in service.  Granted the three remaining GP40Ps have been rebuilt, it is truly a testament to the quality of the -40 series EMDs in general.  I remember them when they had their original CNJ paint in the 3600 series the last year the CNJ operated them.

Of all the variations of the GP40, this one has always been my favorite with the longer frame, SD45 style flared radiators, and that imposing flat long hood face.
