I just got the CP Trainmaster from Lionel and am very impressed. They did away
with the spinning radiator fans, yeah. I have disconected them on my DLW and Wabash trainmasters because of the cheesey noise they make.
This new CP Trainmaster is a refinememt of Trainmasters past. The sounds are spectacular. The horn can be toggled for one, two, or three air horns, WOW!
The paint is perfect, these are a 10!

Of course, everyone will be wanting pictures. Does the engine have a MARS light, or are both headlights solid on?

I can not figure out the mars light.
Very simple - when you apply power to the engine, the light blinks.
If, this CP TM locomotive is in the 2014, volume 2 catalog, then there is no mention of a 'MARS' light.

That's great! Yeah the fans where cool for about 5 minutes then the noise got to you...
then the boards burn up and they quit working anyway...

Triple sound horn, the video did not turn out well, but you can hear the horn.

Yes, but often there are features in production models that aren't mentioned in the catalog. However, based on the brief video, it looks like the front lights are solid on.
Always a treat when you get a new engine that exceeds your expectations.
That horn is a really neat feature! I'd be trying to play songs. LOL
