Understanding how the Bluetooth functionality works with the LionChief app

Someone else had this sort of issue, I think updating the app solved it.

I've seen that before...I really don't use the App but have it on my phone and have and continue to use it on occasion as I prefer the Legacy remote. It has never caused issues with operation. 

It's the app needing updating. Don't fret. Once they release an update it will be fine. This is common as more engines are added to the Bluetooth family. Might want to change the title of the thread so it represents the issue better. 

I updated the app on my phone and the issue is still the same.  Also removed and reinstalled - still the same issue.

Marty, are you saying that Lionel needs to update the app from their end (looks like the last update was 6 months ago on the Apple App Store).

Most likely yes. The app contains the graphic so if it’s not there for a particular engine you get the generic version until they get the database updated with the graphic for the specific engine. 

Yes, we have an update coming that will have all the newest images. Hopefully the update will be out next week.

Since the locomotive works, I wouldn't think this is a big deal, I don't get a picture of the locomotive on my Legacy CAB2 at all when I select it.
